LoveYerGuts | May 2019
14 kiwis are diagnosed with a Gastro-Intestinal Cancer every day. That's more than Breast or Prostate Cancer, Lung Cancer or Melanoma, and equates to 8.95% of all deaths in New Zealand (2016).
Maintaining a healthy lifestyle, including a balanced diet and regular exercise, can help reduce your risk of cancer ... it's as simple as 14 gut crunches every day, so why not get started this May?

Anika Henderson | Stage 2 Bowel Cancer survivor and LoveYerGuts Ambassador
Anika was just 36 when she was diagnosed with Stage 2 Bowel Cancer after almost a year of symptoms. Fear and being a busy mum of 3 held her back from getting answers to the changes her body was experiencing. Anika is partnering with LoveYerGuts to encourage all kiwis to consider their health and wellbeing, and open up about the fear of "what if" and how she is using exercise and a healthy lifestyle to reduce her risks of cancer. |
Sir Colin Mead's (alias Pinetree) passed away from Pancreatic Cancer
Glynn Meads is actively supporting LoveYerGuts by being a LoveYerGuts' champion. Glynn encourages men to drink less beer,
eat less meat and see their GP each year. It may not seem 'manly' but we all need to make changes to help us fight these cancers.
The top team and top individual raising the most funds will win the 'Sir Colin Meads' Award with $4,500 worth of prizes for each.
Read on for more information about prizes. Watch the link to the video below to hear Glynn and Anika support LoveYerGuts!
